Wonderful Weeds: getting to know our herbal backyard companions
Discover the wonderful weeds growing right in your own backyard! From dandelion to mullein; plantain to elderberry, we’ll discover that there’s much to love about the wild plants that grow in and around our neighborhoods. Touch, smell, and even taste a few wild edibles that are common here in the Driftless region. Then get your hands dirty making your own herbal “seed bombs” with native plant seeds. Back at home you can toss them into the corner of your garden, and see what helpful plants spring up next year! This program is for all ages.
