2021 “Take & Make Bag Kits” Schedule

We are so happy to offer, at no cost, “Take & Make Bag Kits” for youth ages 6 – 12, and for Teens ages 13 – 17, see below.

One bag per youth/teen participant, but please consider sharing one bag throughout your home if you have more than one child. We make 60 bags total for each Youth distribution time period and 20 bags total for each Teen distribution time period. No registration is required.

Each “Take & Make Bag Kit” includes 5 different activities for 5 different, repeating themes. Gardening, Cooking, Science Technology Engineering Math, Art and Outdoors!

 

Youth “Take & Make Bag Kits” will be available on: 

Monday, June 14th at 9:00am: Contents include: Animal Grass Heads, Strawberry Banana Lizards, Can You Make a Bird Nest?, Paper Chain Pythons, Build a Twig Boat!

Monday, June 28th at 9:00am: Contents include: Magic Mud, Dragon Fly Snacks, Build a Hydro Wheel, Create Magic Wands, Make Your Own Milk Carton Bird House!

Monday, July 26th at 9:00am: Contents include: Build a Mason Bee Hotel, Peachy Parrot, Engineer a Dinosaur Shelter, Talking Unicorns, and Nature Weaving!

Monday, August 16th at 9:00am: Contents include: Heart Bug Craft, Foxy Fruit, 3-D Shape Cutouts, Exotic Bird Feathers Craft, and Scavenger Hunt!

Monday, June 7th at 9:00am: Contents include: Animal Grass Heads, Enhanced Ramen Noodles, Grow Your Own Yeti, Make Slime, and Animal Track ID Cards!

Thursday, July 1st at 9:00am: Contents include: Magic Mud, Cook Nutella Crepes, Solar S’mores, Guatemalan Worry Dolls Craft, and Big Foot Game!

Monday, August 2nd at 9:00am: Contents include: Clay Mushrooms for the Garden, Mexican Street Corn, Electric Lemons, Magna Drawing, and Nature’s Paint Brushes!

If you have signed the Library’s Photo Release Permission Slip, and if you would like, you can text pictures of your children enjoying their “Take & Make Bag Kits” to the Library’s secured, private, Youth Services Department/Programming Cell Phone!
