McIntosh Memorial Library- Adult Programming and Outreach Coordinator Posted 1/28/2026
The McIntosh Memorial Library in Viroqua, Wisconsin, is seeking an organized, enthusiastic, detail-oriented individual to work as our Adult Programming & Outreach Coordinator. The work requires the employee to have team spirit, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced library environment.
Key responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Designs, markets, and coordinates the implementation of adult programs.
- Coordinates library outreach efforts, including speaking engagements, tabling, and participating in community events.
- Manages signature library services including Stuff the Bus, Home Delivery, and the Garden Tool Lending Library.
- Assists in the writing of grants and the execution of grant-funded projects.
Qualifications include:
- Applicants must have at least a bachelor’s degree in library science, communications, marketing, public relations, project management, or a related field. At least two years of experience working in a public library is required. An equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the required knowledge, skills, and abilities will be considered.
- Must be very comfortable working with software available through Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, and WordPress.
- Creative thinking and design skills are needed to execute marketing campaigns.
The work schedule is mostly Monday-Friday with occasional evening and weekend shifts to support programming and outreach efforts. The starting salary for this full-time position ranges from $38,000-$42,000 depending on experience, plus a full benefits package.
