Beginning Watercolor

Begin learning to paint with watercolors with artist Anne Butera in this four week series.  Over the course of the Thursdays in June you will learn about different types of materials and the properties of watercolor. You’ll begin mixing colors and discover the endless variations possible from a few basic colors. Anne will help you choose a subject to paint and show you how to simplify it to make the painting process easier. You’ll sketch out designs and work on creating a finished painting to be celebrated at a reception at the library on July 12th. All materials for the class are provided. Registration is required and limited to 16 participants. Ages 10 to adult. Children aged 10-12 should attend with an adult who will also participate. Please plan to attend all four weeks.
